The corporate Business Portrait
A contemporary business portrait avoids outdated body language
Whether you are looking for a compelling picture for your job application (read my tipps) or for a contemporary presentation of yourself as leader: The classic business portrait has changed over the decades. A modern business portrait has a fresh appearance with a charming light, the mood is positive with upright posture. It is key to avoid obsolete body language that is nowadys associated with notions of arrogance and distance. Often, a simple headshot is used in order to avoid too much body language. But with the right insights from business psychology, it is possible to show more of the body which helps to underpin the messages that need to be transported with the portrait.
Team shootings
Have you thought about portraying you and your team? May I suggest that you do not use individual headshots of the team members. Instead, I propose to let me photograph you and your team in action - in their normal working environment. This creates a much higher trust with the observer as they are able to see you interact in your usual business environment.

Contemporary Portraits
What is a contemporary portrait? Well - it is not really defined in hard terms but defined by the photographer's ability to create a fresh and ‘modern’ appearance, using unusual or at least interesting views and poses, interesting light and surroundings, distinct contrast, advanced photographic techniques, and special color palettes in post production.
